Tokeat

Take orders online —
without giving away your shop.

5% flat. No contract. Live in 5 minutes.

We built Tokeat because the big delivery apps were quietly turning our favourite independent kitchens into faceless tiles on someone else's grid. You deserve better than 30% commission and a customer list you don't own.

While others charge £500+ just to join — Tokeat costs £0 to start.

Made for independent kitchens

Whether you've got a fixed counter or a different pitch every day, Tokeat is built around how you actually work.

Takeaways

Running a takeaway off a counter? Get a proper ordering site for your shop. Customers can collect, or you deliver with your own driver — whatever works on your night. Take card, cash, Apple Pay, Google Pay. Stick a QR on the wall and walk-ins can order from their seat.

Food trucks, vans, stalls

On a different pitch every day? Tell us your week — Tuesday lunch at the business park, Saturday at the farmers' market — and customers see where you are and order ahead. No more queues at the hatch when you're slammed.

The honest comparison

No competitor names, no fine print. Just what you'd see if you sat down and read both contracts.

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

The same features the big platforms charge you for, built for kitchens like yours.

Your shop, your brand

Pick your colours, fonts, logo, hero photo. Get your own domain. When someone orders, they’re ordering from you, not from a directory.

Deliver your way

Use your own drivers, set your own fee, your own free-delivery threshold, your own radius. Collection-only is fine too.

Take orders for later

Customers can order ASAP or pick a time. You decide the lead time, the slot length, how far ahead they can book.

Run real promos

Percent off, money off, code-based, time-windowed. Cap the total uses, the per-customer uses, the eligible products.

Build loyalty

Issue store credit, gift cards, refund credits. Apply automatically at checkout. Customers come back.

QR at the counter

Print a code, point a phone, take the order. No third app, no commission.

AI-assisted onboarding

Tell us the name. We'll build the site.

Our setup walkthrough uses AI to do the boring bits — drafting your bio, picking a colour palette that fits your food, formatting your menu, drawing in your delivery zone. You review, tweak, ship. Most kitchens are live in about five minutes.

Five percent. That's the whole pricing page.

No subscription. No setup fee. No fine print. We only make money when you do.

5%
Flat platform fee

On every order — cash, card, or wallet. No higher rate, no lower rate, no surprises.

+ Stripe
Processing only on cards

Stripe takes their standard ~1.5% + 20p directly on card and wallet orders. We don't mark it up. Cash orders skip this entirely.

£0 setup. £0 monthly. No fee on refunds. Cancel any time, keep your data.

See an example invoice

Say you do £1,000 of orders in May.

  • £600 on cards (Stripe takes ~£9 + 20p × number of orders, paid to them directly)
  • £400 in cash (Stripe charges nothing)
  • Tokeat platform fee: £50 (5% of £1,000)
  • On the 4th of June, we send an invoice for £50. That's it.

If you refund any of those orders later, we credit the platform fee back against the next invoice. You never pay us for a sale you didn't keep.

How it works

Three steps, no surprises.

1

Sign up & connect Stripe

About ten minutes. We hold your hand through the Stripe verification — it's their standard process for getting you paid.

2

Set up your shop

Our AI walkthrough scaffolds your branding, your menu, your hours, your delivery zone. You review and edit. Five-ish minutes.

3

Share your link or QR

That's your storefront. Print the QR for in-person, post the link to Instagram, send it on WhatsApp. Start taking orders.

Common questions

Anything we missed? Tell us on the form.

Is there a contract?

No. Cancel any month. We bill 5% on orders that actually happened — nothing else.

How do I get paid?

Stripe pays you directly. Money lands in your bank on Stripe’s standard schedule (next-day in the UK after your first payout).

Do I need my own drivers?

Only if you want to deliver. Plenty of takeaways on Tokeat are collection-only. If you do deliver, you set the fee and keep all of it.

Can I sell at more than one location?

Mobile food units, yes — set a weekly pitch schedule and customers see the right one. Got multiple takeaway shops? Drop us a line — we have a chains setup.

What about Wi-Fi at the pitch?

Orders come through the customer’s phone, not yours. You only need internet on whatever device you use to receive orders — a phone hotspot is fine.

Can I move my menu from another platform?

Yes. Send us your menu in any format — PDF, photos of the printed one, a link to your old page — and we’ll bulk-import it for you.

Your kitchen, your customers, your terms.

We're a small team building this for kitchens like yours. Drop us your details and we'll be in touch the same day — usually within an hour.
